Operation Go was a service project our church did to serve our own community in addition to our mission service away from home. Our small group at church is made up of a lot of preschool parents and it is kind of hard to do mission projects without finding a baby sitter. So we decided to Feed our Hungry Heroes. We took goodies and snacks to Firestation #1 in Trussville. The kids had such a great time climbing all over the trucks and seeing the firemen. One thing I did not get a photo of that I wished I had was the inside of their department. The first thing you see is a TV room with 7 large recliners, and 3 large refrigerators--such a man cave. The kids also made thank you cards for the firemen.
